Now in its third year, the Champions Classic has quickly become a cornerstone event for the department, generating critical support for the Championship Fund. Proceeds from the event benefit all Wayne State student-athletes and programs, helping provide the resources needed to compete at a championship level and enhancing the overall student-athlete experience.

Fueling the Championship Experience
Support the Championship Fund: Directly enhances postseason travel, meals, lodging, and competition resources for WSU student-athletes
Event Details: 3rd Annual WSU Champions Classic at Lochmoor Club on July 27, 2026
Purpose: Provide a first-class “Championship Experience” as teams compete at regional and national levels
Impact: Helps position WSU programs to pursue conference titles and national championships
